Quentin face charts

Face chart no1: I wanted to created a really bruised and beaten look to portray Quentin's pain and suffering. Claudia takes out the frustration and pain of her trauma on him. When doing these facecharts i discovered how hard it is to do black eyes/bruising on paper, but you get an idea of the placing etc. I wanted to create a beaten look, but i feel like this look is too much and is boderline zombie. I wanted this design to create a gaunt and underfed look.. but as i said i dont want him to look like a zombie-wrong tv show.

Face chart no 2: I stuck with just bruises for this one- but played around with the placing and sizes of the bruises, as i wasnt too keen on my first design. I like this design a lot more- keeping the bruises to the eyes and a couple hickey style bruises on the neck.

Face chart no 3: This time i wanted to mix things up a bit, i felt like it needed to be a bit more gory as Claudia is so obsessed with horror. I toned down the bruising as i felt it would be a bit over the top with blood as well. I drenched an old paintbrush with blood and flicked it at the paper- obviously thisis not a great representation of what it will look like as it will be very different on the models face. I plan to splatter blood on the neck, chest and clothing too. This is my chosen design as i definitely prefer the fact that it has less brusing. I will do a pale base to show his isolation. I like the fact that there is no wound to indicate where the blood came from.. Is it from him? Claudia? or an outsider trying to split them up?
